If you're planning your first visit to Los Angeles, this four-day itinerary is designed to help you experience the city's iconic landmarks, incredible food, famous neighborhoods, and unforgettable attractions without feeling overwhelmed.

Whether you're dreaming of seeing the Hollywood Sign, walking the Walk of Fame, spending a day at Universal Studios Hollywood, or watching the sunset over the Pacific Ocean, this itinerary combines classic Los Angeles experiences with plenty of time to enjoy the city's unique atmosphere.

After visiting Los Angeles myself, I created this itinerary to help first-time visitors make the most of their trip while still leaving room to relax and enjoy the journey.

Day 1: Hollywood & Iconic Los Angeles

There's no better place to begin your Los Angeles adventure than Hollywood.

Spend the day exploring some of the city's most recognizable attractions, including:

  • Hollywood Walk of Fame
  • Hollywood Sign viewpoints
  • TCL Chinese Theatre
  • Hollywood Wax Museum
  • Griffith Observatory at sunset

If you have time, stop by The Grove for shopping, dinner, or simply to enjoy the lively atmosphere.

  • Shake Shack

Day 2: Beverly Hills & West Hollywood

Today is all about experiencing the glamorous side of Los Angeles.

Start with a stroll down Rodeo Drive before exploring Beverly Hills and West Hollywood.

  • The Grove
  • Original Farmers Market
  • Mulholland Drive at sunset

For dinner, consider one of LA's rooftop restaurants and enjoy beautiful skyline views.


Day 3: Universal Studios Hollywood

Dedicate an entire day to one of Southern California's most famous attractions.

Universal Studios Hollywood offers a full day of rides, entertainment, and behind-the-scenes movie magic.

Must-do attractions include:

  • The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
  • Jurassic World – The Ride
  • Transformers: The Ride-3D

End the evening at Universal City Walk for dinner, shopping, and live entertainment.

Los Angeles is a city where having transportation makes exploring much easier.

During my visit, I primarily used Uber, which was convenient and allowed me to avoid parking fees and heavy traffic. Depending on your plans, renting a car may also be a good option.
